1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE CONVERTIBLE
This is the Chevelle you want to have in your driveway and boy could it tell you stories of how well it has been loved the last 50 years. This beauty has only been owned by two people, it has stayed in the same family since it was new, so you know it was cherished. This car is a Malibu and was ordered by the previous owner’s aunt new in October of 1968. It came from the factory with the 396 SS badge on the trunk as a mistake from the factory, so they put it back when it was restored. An interesting bit of information is the “SS 396 emblem” on the trunk was an ORIGINAL flaw from the factory (This was verified and published in the Grand Rapid Press in 1996 when his Aunt and the car were featured in the local paper.) In 1996 a total restoration was done to this Chevelle and all the documentation. There was no expense spared during this restoration, it cost about $71,000, it was done by professionals. Dual exhaust and disc brakes all the way around was just a few of the upgrades added during 1996 restoration. Since the restoration only 29,000 miles have been clocked on this car. The interior is original and still is in great shape. The black exterior and white interior is a rare color combo for Chevelle‘s and are difficult to find, but we have one right here! The convertible top is a power top and works perfectly and looks amazing. This was a designated show car between 1996 – 2006 and displayed on multiple occasions at the Grand Rapids Gilmore Museum. This classic has been registered as a historical vehicle. Under the hood of this spectacular Chevelle is a 350 V8 that is numbers matching connected to a 2- speed automatic Powerglide transmission. Come fully equipped with power steering and power brakes.
