The Buick Electra was built in a various number of body styles including; sedans, coupe, station wagon and convertible models beginning in 1959 through 1990 inclusive. The Electra 225 name is linked to the fact that the overall length is 225 inches (5,715 mm) and was dubbed with the nickname “deuce and a quarter”. Body changes are slight in 1970 over the previous year, but under the hood is a different story-the old 430 V8 has been retired and now upgraded to the 454 CID engine putting out 370 hp (275.9 kW). A new technology integrated this year is the concealed radio antenna, which is two thin wires running through the windshield.
